Tom Vu
Tom Vu was a marketer
whose late nite antics on cable TV provided a lot of amusement
for those of us
withaverage intellegence and above. He pitched "no
money down" real
estate in infomercials that were half circus
and half
playboy
mansion. They showed him with bunches
of scantily clad honeys on a powerboat, or in a limo,
or elsewhere. Apparently, he's no longer on cable, so
Tom Vu fans now have to look elsewhere for their
daily giggle fix.
You'd swear he was
selling you babes in boats. Ironically, he knows
more about women than
Real Estate.
I saw a story on
60 minutes, Dateline NBC, or 20/20 about Tom Vu that was
quite interesting. It was an "interview" with
him and some of his ex-students. They said that they followed
his methods and didn't make any money and they were angry
that they spent all that money for the seminar and have nothing
to show for it. It would be interesting to see how long they
actually did follow Tom's plan.
Tom didn't have much to say during his portion of the interview.
He's probably sitting back enjoying his wealth with all those
foxy babes on his yachts!
Last I heard, Tom Vu was convicted of fraud and dozens of
other charges relating to his company in Florida a couple of
years ago and is now serving time. Federal mail and wire fraud,
I believe along with tax evasion, false advertising, etc. That's
what I've been told.
It goes without saying that you needn't bother to locate any
of his old materials. Not worth the paper their printed on
in my opinion.
